About the 8-Outlet Surge Protector
The VoltEdge 8-Outlet Surge Protector gives a desk or entertainment center eight grounded outlets with surge protection, helping shield TVs, computers, consoles and chargers from voltage spikes. Monsoon season thunderstorms in Phoenix make surge protection a sensible addition for expensive electronics.
Outlets are spaced to fit a mix of standard plugs and larger adapters. A 6 ft cord reaches outlets behind furniture, and a flat, low-profile plug sits close to the wall. A Protected indicator light shows that surge protection is active; when it goes out, the protective components have been used up and the unit should be replaced. A lighted power switch with a built-in circuit breaker cuts power to all outlets at once.
