About the Nintendo Switch 2
Nintendo Switch 2 is the successor to the original Switch, with a larger 7.9-inch LCD touchscreen at 1080p, support for up to 120 Hz and HDR10. Docked to a TV, it can output up to 4K. Internal storage is 256GB, and expansion uses microSD Express cards only.
The new Joy-Con 2 controllers attach magnetically and can work as a mouse on a flat surface in supported games. A new C button opens GameChat for voice chat, with an optional camera for video, using the console's built-in microphone. Most physical and digital Switch games are playable, and some receive free or paid Switch 2 upgrades.

Will my original Switch games work?
Most do, both physical and digital; Nintendo maintains a list of titles with known issues.
Can I use my old microSD card?
No. Switch 2 accepts only microSD Express cards for game storage; standard microSD cards can be used only to copy screenshots and videos.
Do original Joy-Con work?
Yes, original Joy-Con and the Switch Pro Controller work wirelessly, but they cannot attach to the Switch 2 console.
