About the Phone Setup & Data Transfer
Phone Setup & Data Transfer gets your new phone ready to use before you leave the store. A Sunbolt technician powers it on, installs software updates, helps you sign in to your Apple, Google or Samsung account, and guides eSIM or SIM activation with your carrier.
We then move contacts, photos, messages and apps from your old phone using the manufacturer's tools, including iPhone to iPhone, Android to Android, and Android to iPhone switches. We also set up Face ID or fingerprint unlock, email, and basics such as Wi-Fi and Bluetooth pairing with your car or earbuds. Time required depends mainly on how much data is on the old phone.

- Some app data, such as chat histories in third-party apps, depends on that app's own backup

Yes. We use Apple's Move to iOS tool, which transfers contacts, messages, photos and more.
What should I bring?
Both phones charged, your Apple or Google account passwords, and your carrier account PIN if activating an eSIM.
Do you keep a copy of my data?
No. Data moves directly between your devices or your own cloud account.
